Every Sony Cybershot I have used has been great. I have one that is a few years old and it takes great pics. They are nice and solid, easy to use and have good features. I have dropped it heaps of times and it still works perfectly. I don't use it much anymore because I decided to get myself a digital SLR - but I still think it's great. You can probably get a 4 or 5 megapixel compact Cybershot within your price range, which is great. You can print off A4 prints or a bit larger with excellent quality images with a 4/5 megapixel sensor.
