i am a college graduate with a masters degree. he only has one year college but is planning to go back to school, he wants to be a detective. he is also 5 years younger than me and from a different culture. can this ever work? or should i cut my losses.

one of the big mistakes that people do in relationships,is try to determine how successful it will be by looking at each others profession...crap,if u guys really love each other,go 4 it

No reason it can't work. When my mother met my stepfather, she was studying for her masters and he was a high school dropout and 9 years younger. He was not from a different culture but he was from a different world (rural village vs. major city). They have been together over a quarter of a century so far and still going strong. He has since gotten his GED and taken some college courses and as they age, the age difference is less noticeable.

I don't see a reason why it wouldn't...
So you have a degree. He's going to get one.
5 years isn't a big difference... especially as adults.
And nowadays, people marry people from other cultures/races... so I don't see the big problem.

I think if you end it before it even starts, you'll regret it.
You may look back and keep asking yourself if it could've worked out.
You'll never know if you don't try...

It should work if you both want it too. Depends on how willing you both are to make it work. If you love eachother make an effort.

sure,my ex will have her masters before the yr is up,and im going into the cop field as well,im also youngerby 11years with one more semester,but i think its posible
