Why can't you have your cake and eat your pie too...
If it's pie, warm peach pie with real vanilla ice cream on top. So yummy.
Cake is a little different, but favorite would be death by chocolate cake with chocolate peanut butter icing. Little piece goes a very long way.

Apple Pike, Pecan Pie Cake, Apple Pie Coffee Cake, Pumpkin Pie Cake...with these I get my pie and get to eat my cake too...

Ice cream cake! Hey, can you imagine if they mixed a pie with a cake? It'd be like... biting into a delicious crust, then to this soft chocolate cake, frosting, cherry filling, chocolate cake again, and then the crust. MMMMM....

Instinctly I'd say cake!
But the kind does influence the choice!!! I mean I'd choose pecan pie over plain vanilla cake but a chocolate mousse cake is hard to beat!!!
