Awhile back, there was a book that raise an uproar in several countries, and many of those countries had that book banned. The book was titled : "Quranic verses", what was it about? ( seems to me like an Islamic version of Da Vince Code )

1. Poki Poki... it was called Quranic verses here, THAT was why it cause such a violent reaction from people. And no I am not trying to offend you, I just want to find out

2. I am not sure if its Alternate name is Satanic verses, but it seems likely. This magazine I am reading is not in my native language and it is pretty old for me to find confirmation.

Thank you Z9y for your critical labelling, is that what believing in Allah has made you into? Are you SURE its Allah you believe in or some other spirit? The muslims I know don't insult other people and i work with them daily.

I think you mean "satanic versus". It was written by someone for the sole purpose of stirring up trouble and discord, notice that it was also allocated to the fiction section, so I wouldn't hold much truth to it if I were you!
