My daughters best friends dad always greet me with a hug, however, when he hugs me it is from the side or back and he wrap his arms around my waist. So i want to know what type of signals do me usually give? Also, do you think that this is a signal?

it depends on if he is married.
it sounds to me that he likes and perhaps desires you, but you can usually see that in the eyes and feel his male member hard against your body if he does want you.
but if he's married, i think he is going too far, and you would too, if you gave him the signal that his advances are going to lead him into your bed.
would you really like to start a ruckus involving this man's wife, do you want to be a part of hurting her and creating neighborhood animosity and hatred?
men are men that often think with the head that is not on top of their necks. women are smarter. we only have one head.
if he is married, you will end up being used by him. in which case, step away when he hugs you.
if however, he is not married, you might go forward with him, depending on how much you truly like him and visa versa.
some men just give a hug occasionally in friendship or in comraderie, but not often: mostly it is for touch, which reminds them of sex.
it's up to you what you do with it, but if he is married, i'd push him away and not ruin my reputation.

Men do not hug women they are not interested in! I would say he wants you. Are you married? is he? If so it is not a good idea. Ask your daughter what she thinks of him. She may see a long train of women in and out of the place when she is over there. She may see him yelling at his kids or abusing the kids. She may also say he is the nicest guy around!

From a grown man--definently a signal! If it was a high school guy I would say probably not, but you usually grown men only do this when they have feelings for a woman.
