Yes, more money is being thrown at 'educating' troops on how to kill, or get killed !
This reminds me of US General Patton's famous quote : 'No poor dumb s o b ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other s o b die for his country !'

You could always make that argument, but of course there are other factors that play a role in whether or not we need more troops, such as do we need more troops. If the war was pointless to begin with, then yes, you could equate sending more soldiers to donating more money, but we don't know all of the specifics so making that comparison would be presumptuous. An analogy can only do so much; at some point it needs to be supported by facts and details.

Of course not. Adding more troops to Iraq is wasting money.

Spending it on education is at least helping Americans.

Not really--I know where we can more money for education. The defense budget, repealing tax cuts for the wealthy, having someone in office who actually has an education. Finding willing troops without a draft-good luck!!

You can't really mean this as a serious question. Adding more troops in Iraq means we kill more of those terrorist SOBs so we can keep our schools open and don't have to worry (so much) about them being blown up by homicide bombers. It is a FACT .. If we don't fight them there.. We will have to fight them here.

I would say wasting more money I am in the military and I feel that my fellow soldiers value their life more than a dollar but it's our jod and most of us join for an education but I am not with spening the tax payer dollar on something that has nothing to do with us.......Education is more valuable in this case ..........
