Some people don't understand what "sacrifice" really means.
I sacrificed a lot of things for my God. For example, time would be one of them. One should always make time for God. He wants our true Worship to come from our heart. If you take the time to sacrifice other things that are unimportant and put God first, then that's all He wants. And that is a true sacrifice.

In my opinion, God is not asking for sacrifices. That is called "works." Jesus said that the most important commandment is to love God with all our hearts, mind, strength. God is powerful that He doesn't need anything from us except to worship Him as the true and only God. He is more interested in the condition of our hearts, more than anything.

I don't believe it necessary, or even appreciated when we make sacrifices for God. He sent His Son to die so that we can have life, and life more abundantly. He wants us to enjoy our lives and live them to the fullest. Aside from sacrificing a sinful habit that we may have enjoyed at one time, I believe He would rather us enjoy the many blessings He's bestowed upon us rather than sacrifice them back to Him.
Blessed Be

I have sacrificed going to football games on Sundays or sleeping in to drive a church bus. In all truth, I take much more pleasure in driving the church bus than I do sleeping or watching football games and I know I am serving a purpose for God by taking people to church who would not otherwise have a way to get there.

Yeah.... MY God doesn't require sacrifices. In fact, my God doesn't require anything... he is GOD after all... how could he possibly 'need' something from little ole' me?

my existence i sacrifice each and every day for his honor and glory. My body is his vessel, I move for he moves me, without him I want nothing to do with this life.

Not a single one.
God? Does not exist. All in the imagination. Grow up and get a real life?

What do you suggest...a lamb? I'm too soft-hearted AND squeamish to do that. Besides - I might be depriving a starving middle-eastern non-beiever of a meal.
