When you graduate with an associate's (two-year) degree in nursing, you are eligible to write the state board examination for licensure as an RN. There is a shortage of nurses and the pay is excellent. Also, once you have the RN you can work full-time and take courses on the side to complete your B.S. degree in nursing and then you will make even more money.

Another money-maker is construction. I live near Chattanooga, Tennessee, home of Bob Corker, who is running for the U.S. Senate. Bob managed to save $800 and started a construction business. He built one home, used the money he received from that to expand, and continued to use that strategy. He is fabulously wealthy now - was able to lend about $5 million to his political campaign without batting an eye.

Obviously, a great deal depends on your talents. I suggest that you go to your local community college for advice on the most lucrative field that would be appropriate for you.

The best career choice....is no career choice. Start your own business. You will never have to worry about getting fired, never have to worry about going on strike, or have to worry about losing your pension.

However, you may want to work in an enviroment that is close to the type of business you are planning to set up. Learn all you can from them...you could even do it gradually...working for somebody as you are starting up! Not only will you be creating new jobs in your community...you will be helping the economy as well. Don't be afraid of failure....there is nothing to fear but fear itself....this is the American way... good luck...and may the force be with you!

Wow, you made me reflect a bit. I just pressed my youngest to get into a school that applies children from beginning middle and high school to focus on advance science medicine and to be fair art. I really want her to get a gos education and I pressed her to get it together to pass the entrance exams. She did and is doing well so far. Well your interest in psychology is a good one. This is a career that can help many, you can also offer help based on your faith. So those of the same faith can come to you for help and you can guide them. You are the one who has to live in your skin, you must be comfortable there. If you do not want to live in the skin of a Dr. then you can not as you will always wonder what if. Every time you are unhappy as a Dr. it will be their fault as you will say what if I became what I wanted to become then I could be happy going into work today.
