you need to get yourself out of this situation(sp) go to your school counsler, a teacher you trust, Dept of human services, any adult that you feel can help you, this is child abuse/endangerment though you may not think of yourself as a child, you in the eyes of the law are a minor, call the abuse hotline(217-524-2606 outside Illinois) or in your area they can help you right now, and trust me you need help NOW. DO NOT START CUTTING AGIAN, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT.
Please post again and let me know your doing ok. there are people out here that care.

Brad, if the cops won't help you, then you need to go to your local priest or a counselor at school or maybe even Child protective services who will take you out of the house and place you in foster care. You need to get out of the house or you will end up in some serious trouble. I am so sorry you have to go through this. Thank you for asking for help. Don't stop until you find someone who will listen...You are doing the right thing by finding someone..
to find child protective services go to the courthouse in your town and ask someone there to call them and have someone meet you there.

If the authorities won't help you, do the best you can to make a good life for yourself on your own. It sounds like you are a great kid.

If you are able to get out and away from the house (i.e. getting a job, school, etc.) do the best you can.

See if you can get to Alateen meetings or find alateen online. When I was your age and in that situation, I found alateen a lifesaver.

Also, if you are finding yourself cutting alot, you can call a local suicide hotline and be evaluated for hospitalization for depression. If this were to happen, it might draw some professional attention to what is going on for you at home and the hospital staff may help find a suitable alternative place for you to go home to.

brad calm down for a min ok...it is usually hard to get authority to suspect your parents of doing wrong what you need to do is call CPS look them up on-line or in the phone book its child protective services they should help otherwise do you have family or friends that can take you in? whatever you do dont cut that really doesnt and wont help ok...if things are this bad they can only get better right?! when one person wont listen tell another...at school or where ever you have to because obviously you need help...by the way you need to call the cops when your dad does things like pull a gun on you keep record with the police theyll catch on...

Look in your local yellow or white pages and look at the beginning and find a "crisis hot line" try to call from a Friends or neighbors house where you can talk more privately. You need to have someone advocate for you. You need to be out of that environment. Also talk with any one at your church or one of your Friend's' church. Anybody that you feel you can trust and tell them how bad it is. Your parents lost the right to parent you when they are clearly putting drugs before you. As far as cutting, this needs to be addressed asap. you need allot of help with your situation and I am so sorry that this life has been so hard for you. It does not have to be. Please, please call the crisis hot line and have them talk with you and get you some help. Good luck and take care of yourself, you have to do it.

If this is actually true, you should call Kids' Help Phone or your local Child Protective Services. Check the front of your phone book if you have one--there should be a few options. Good luck.

Try to get into the local Ala Teen program. Even though your parents have problems with drugs, addiction is addiction. You will find you are not alone and that you have options.
