I have an LG LCD TV and I have to press the Menu button on the TV or the remote for any other function to work

It takes me about 20 seconds to move the volume one notch or to change the channel up or down one notch. Anyone have any ideas?

If you have followed the Manufacturers Instructions-and it still does not work,then I suggest you return the set to the Retail Outlet from where it was purchased!
