First, IT is not a HIM. IT, being a "SPIRIT" IT has no image any more than "electricity" being energy" has no image and IT is ONE and ALL. We can only see the ONE (God) in the ALL (diversity) of SHE/HE/IT's creation. So we are in the image of something in our "spirit" but unique and diverse in our physical appearance. The DNA of life is the same for all life. We (humans) are a branch of that DNA. Is the DNA of life in the image of the ONE? Is carbon, what we are mostly made of created in the image of the ONE. We can say yes or not to all the above questions and be able to defend our answer to eternity. That is what makes us some of us "fight" and that is what makes some of us "tolerant " of others and attempting to live in peace.
Then there are some who use religion and spirituality as a tool to gather power and influence over others. Them I pity...They do not know the ONE-ness of all LIFE.

God is Spirit. You are NOT.
The Scripture is NOT saying that you are made in the PHYSICAL image of God. Think of other ways.
