Should I get a breast reduction? I've tried losing weight...and even though I've gone down 4 dress sizes...my boobs have not shrunk! It's getting to where my back hurts...and my bras are digging into my shoulders! Help please! Thanks!

Yeah, I have the same problem, except mine are 40E now! I'm pregnant so they've grown about 2 sizes since then (I was a 38 DD before), and they're still getting bigger! I'm considering a breast reduction also, because they give me back problems. I think that is the only good reason to get one. I have permanent indentations on my shoulders from my bras...it's ridiculous! The only problem I've heard of though, is that you might not be able to breastfeed if you get pregnant after a breast reduction. Good luck :)

If you do get reduction surgery, just remember to spend as much money as possible and find the very best surgeon. Fly away from home if you have to. Lot's of awful plastic surgery in breast reduction. Don't let yourself become a causuality. Take your time, research for months if neccessary, get ton's of referance, see ton's of before and after photos for the Dr's clients and actually call and speak with clients. If Dr won't provide that info, run out as fast as you can. Usually, once you're scarred, you're scarred for life. This is a MAJOR surgery. Good luck

While my first response as a guy, is no way, obviously that is not the right answer. See a doctor and explain the issues. Anything that causes you pain should be dealt with by a professional, to include a breast reduction. For your health sake, the answer is yes.

That is not such a large size. You need better bras. Get the kinds with padded shoulder straps. Are you sure you are wearing the right size? You can get fitted at Victoria's Secret or most Dept. stores. The right size makes a big difference. You can get good Bali bras at a discount at www.onehanesplace.com

Yes then maybe you should get a breast reduction. If your having pains from them being large than that is the best solution. Try to go down to a 36C. That is a perfect size. Good Luck!

Well, it seems like you're doing your research first, which is good. You just need to decide if it's something you really want to do. Remember back pain is a real detriment to doing stuff in everyday life though, and it's kind of hard to heal sometimes. I don't see the benefits of NOT getting a reduction.

You should consult your doctor. Surgery of any kind is a serious thing and should not be taken lightly. I am no Doc but I am sure ther is one out ther that can give you some good counsel. There may be other solutions like posture enhancing exercises and stuff like that.

This may sound wierd but I am being completely serious; Sometimes back pain can also be cause by weak ab muscles. How are your abs?

I'm a 44dd and I loose weight and they still are the same. I have a lot of back and neck pains. But I've gotten used to it in a way. Go to lane bryant for good bras for women with larger breasts.

do some aerobics and push ups, they'll go away some, theres alot of complications and scarring and side effects from breasts reduction plus the healing is long and painful, i would wait and leave that as a last resort and see if there are other options, check your local fitness center, they might have some tips

it sounds like a reduction may be the answer for you - especially as its causing back pain.. see your GP and ask if they can recommend a plastic surgeon.
However; there are complications with surgery - you should only go through with it if you are aware of these. it will also be v.expensive.. have u tried special bra's? 'triumph' are very good..
