How come so many people believe and live by the Bible, and beleive that Jesus is our "Lord and Savior", instead of just believing in yourselves? How can it be anybody other than you that is in charge of your life?

A lot of people don't want to believe in jesus because of that fact .They want to be in control of their own life. If you were in control of your own life than you would choose whether you lived or died and the simple fact is you don't. You didn't make yourself so how can you believe in yourself. I believe in the bible 100% I look at the simple fact that every single person on this earth has a different fingerprint no two fingerprints are alike, god made us all unique.

Of course, you know what, we can do both. Believe in Jesus Christ as our savior, and believe in ourselves also. Believe we are strong, we can do anything, we have free-will to live our lives and make ANY decision we want. Just happens, we Believe in Him and lean on him for support. In times when we are unsure of what we should do, that's when we call on Him for help. Kinda like a buddy system.

God did grant my freewill, but I believe and live by the bible because God has showed Himself to me and had opened my eyes to the truth. The joy and peace that has come over me since I accepted the Lord in my life is so indescribable. If you really open up your heart and allow God to work in your life, He will and you wont be able to deny Him anymore

Whether one believes ingod or not ,if he jumps off a cliff ,hewill die .god willnot save him.God kills the saint and sinner alike . those who do not beliee inChrist arein Billions and according to the chritians they must go to hell. Those who do not believe in Allah should go to hell acording to Islam. So who isright and which God will certify the one among these two as correct . so according to these two boh of htem should go to hell.
God has better things to attend than obeying the commands of the prophets and messaiahs who were themselves unable to help themselves and save themselves from death.God kills the saint and sinner alike . Even if we purselves take charge of our life , we are bound to God . even God will not abeable to stop.It is all Maya an Illusion.

"Just yourself" is the product of input from many sources. Looking to God for the input simply assures you that the input you receive is constructive, not destructive. You are still fully in charge because God has given you free will. He doesn't force us to do anything.

Because I am a sinner headed for the grave. Not much to believe in when you take a clear, long look at it.

Why should we believe that this world is the end of the line for us when God has promised us everlasting life in him and with him??

I am in charge of my life...which is why I need God to shed His light on my daily decisions and grant me wisdom and guidance and direction for my path.

These are those people who can't be moral and have values without a book to guide them. I guess we should be glad they have it, lest we be living in a world of chaos from them. ('Course, we do, so clearly some aren't following their instruction manual well enough.)

WHOEVER GAVE YOU THIS CRAP-LOAD OF INFORMATION DOESNT KNOW WHAT HE/SHE IS TALKING ABOUT

GOD LET'S US BE IN CHARGE OF OUR DECISIONS, BUT NOT OUR CONSEQUENCES

AND HECK, EVEN IF YOU DONT BELIEVE IN GOD, THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT IF YOU JUMP OFF OF A CLIFF, YOUR BRAINS WILL STILL SPLATTER,---CHRISTIAN/RELIGIOUS OR NOT
