Pasta contains alot of dairy! Cream, Cheese, some people put milk! If you were wanting to watch your diet but still eat bol and carbonara then I would suggest using low fat cream, cheese etc. With all the different ingredients in both Spag Bol and Carbonara you can see how some would suggest it is good for you but then I believe it all comes down to the way you cook it. Do you microwave, deepfry, panfry or bake the bacon/ onion? How do you cook the noodles? If you are buying take out - read the menu or ask the waitress what ingredients they contain. If you let them know they can use low fat/ sugar milk, cream and cheese! You are paying for there services - they have to! Hope this helps a little and good luck in the kitchen or in the restaurant!!

Pasta is high in carbs which is good if you're normal weight, but not if you're overweight.

Bolognese sauce is healthy, carbonara is high in fat -- have it sometimes but not too often.

Well, it's a lot of carbs, which is fine before and after a workout. But that's only if you are working out seriously. Otherwise, all those carbs will turn you into a fatass.

It's fine. I've tried to get more whole grains in my diet, though.
