My dog (14 year-old, Springer Spaniel) was put on Baytril tablets (enrofloxacin) for a colitis episode. Starting yesterday, I noticed some bladder leakage/ incontinence (not like piddling, or having accidents, but a slow leakage). It seems to be getting worse, but the Baytril course is almost complete, so I'm hoping the incontinence will end then. We're taking her to the vet on Friday, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences with Baytril.

As a side effect, Baytril can cause crystals to form in the urin. Perhaps crystals are forming, and irritating your dog's bladder, causing her to dribble urin.

Baytril should not cause incontinence. I would consult with your vet on Friday, because their could be a number of underlying problems that could be causing this. They can also prescribe some medication to help with it. It is very possible that it could be as simple as a UTI, but then again it could be something more serious. I would definately talk to your vet about the problem.
