It just means you aren't over him.
I can't suggest how you fix that. I have been divorced for 26 years (re-married for 24) and still occasionally dream about my ex.
It isn't the end of the world and it doesn't have to be a problem. Some day your heart may catch up with your head, but if it doesn't happen, you know why you walked away from him, and that matters.
A better relationship will help but you might still have the dreams. Especially if he was your first lover.

Sex in dreams does not always mean that you want to sleep with this person. Perhaps you miss them or have some regrets about ending the relationship... or even about the relationship itself. Don't freak out though, its only a dream.

If you think that's disturbing get a load of this. I've been having dreams about having sex with your ex too. And I don't even know him...plus I'm not gay. It's really freaking me out.

It might just mean that you are unconciously seeking sexual pleasure. It might not have anything to do with your ex other than he's an example for your dreams.

If you had sex with him before they are probably just memories. If you haven't though, or even if you did, you may still have feelings for him whether you want to admit it or nit.
