No.

Most people, even priests and pastors, misinterpret the passages about homosexuality.

The story of Sodom and Gommorah? That's a warning against rape and inhospitality. The reason for Sodom's destruction is made clear in Ezekiel 16:48-50. According to Ezekiel, the sins of Sodom were pride, laziness, being inhospitable, neglecting the needs of the poor, greed, and idolatry (the worshipping of idols). Nothing about homosexuality is mentioned.

Leviticus? Those passages were part of the Holiness Code which has been done away with and is no longer binding to modern-day Christians.

1 Corinthians? Mistranslation - the word malakee in this passage is used elsewhere in the Bible to mean someone who lacks discipline or one who is morally weak, and never is it used in reference to sexuality or gender.

1 Timothy? Also a mistranslation. 1 Timothy was an admonishment against male prostitution, not committed, loving same sex relationships.

Romans? In the passage the Greek words physin and paraphysin have been translated to mean natural and unnatural respectively. Contrary to popular belief, the word paraphysin does not mean "to go against the laws of nature", but rather implies action which is uncharacteristic for that person. An example of the word paraphysin is used in Romans 11:24, where God acts in an uncharacteristic (paraphysin) way to accept the Gentiles. When the scripture is understood correctly, it implies that it would be unnatural for heterosexuals to live as homosexuals, and for homosexuals to live as heterosexuals.

I don't think God hate alternitivie life-styles but he don't approve of it in man. According to the bible alternitive life styles like homosexuality is wrong and forbidden. God can't hate but that doesn't mean its ok.

I was told -when I asked a certain religious type of person- that God frowned upon it because it was a waste of "seed" and because he wanted all his children to multiply so in this day and age when the world is over populated and same sex couples are adopting heterosexual couples' abandoned children you would think his opinion would change.

Also not that "god" "loves" all his "children" XD I know, stop using quotations. But if the god of the bible loves all his children equally he should then love homosexual, heterosexual, men and women. No matter which way they get "it on".

Ive never heard of such a thing. My only wisdom that Ive acquired in this life is not to over indulge in anything too much. That would be flesh, drugs, tobacco, alcohol, food and the such. Too much of anything on this earth is not good for the person living life here. That to me is the hardest feat to achieve. Much easier said than done! I challenge anyone to get out of this life with no acquired habits. Its very difficult. But do as you may and how you wish just keep everything to a minimum or the pleasure becomes an obsession.

Well, in the first place what's with the "Alternative Lifestyles" thing? You are playing the word game. Is it sin-full or not? If your talking about homosexuality--yes he abhors it. Are you talking about living together in a carnal relationship without marriage?---yes, he hates that too. I did not say he hates the person he hates the sin and the person needs to stop doing it in order to go to Heaven.

God hates anything that destroys the people he loves.

If you are referring to a homosexual life-style, then yes. He does not hate you. Ask God for mercy, pray to Him in Jesus' Name. Remember we do not have to clean up our act before we come to God. We are to come, just as we are. Seek mercy at His throne of Grace and He will help you. The devil has placed a lie before you and you have accepted it. No one is born gay. There is help for you in Christ Jesus.

God has better things to do . The president of a country does not sell stamps in the post offices .or apparels in Sears . God is above prejudices . He creates everything naked only. He has no bias .He performsaction without expectation of any reward or parise from any one . He dose his duties unattached. and to evrybody alike . So please do not impute human character to him. It will be degrading the God to impute the human characters of likes and dislikes and prejudices to God . He creates all alike and kills all alike. .God never hates or bears any special love for anybody. He kills the saint and the sinner alike .So he won;t bothere about your lifestyles . it is the foolish humansthat would use the name of Gods to interfere with your life styles.God will not even interfere with those who interfere with you also .misusing his name .

I'm sure any God would understand.

Remember that all of the entries written in the Bible were written by human beings, with thier own thoughts, feelings, and agenda's.
They were also written a long time ago, by people who lived in very unnaccepting social structures.

Since there is no such thing as god, there is no hatred, or anything else. Anyone wishing to "thumbs down" this is invited to contact me via avatar with any evidence they may have showing the contrary. (Note that religious texts such as the Bible or Qur'an are not acceptable evidence, because the reasoning would be circular.)
