I find myself zoning out a lot lately due to school and its stresses.

Ironically, when I come back to reality, I look around, and i'll catch 1-2 girls staring at me, but the moment I make eye contact with them, they look away immediately. Its starting to drive me up the wall, because my confidence is pretty shitty lately, and I have no idea why these cute girls are staring at me. If they found me cute, wouldn't they give me a smile or something?

And no, it isn't something on my face, I checked!

Also I thought girls are really good at concealing when they look at a guy.

Some girls are shy too! And what is the probability that they smile back at you?? For the most part, even for girls, when you catch someone looking at you they immediately look away. Don't you do this too?? I say that you should just say 'f%$k it', go up and talk to them if you see them look at you. Chances are that if they look at you, they find that theres something nice to look at. And if your confidence is pretty shitty, then whats the big deal??? Couldn't get any lower could you?? And anyways...I think that if you approach them, they'll be willing to talk and maybe even go out on a date with you. Good luck!

Dude the reason they are staring at you is because they find you attractive. However, because we live in a male dominant society, women are dictated not to chase a man. I know that when I stare a man down it is because I am hoping they approach me. Some don't want to draw attention to looking at a man because they don't want to be rejected or laughed at when they look at a good looking guy. Besides confidence is a good thing, and I think you are lacking it. Maybe say hello, and the worst that could happen it that you date them or that you become friends. In fact that is how I met my husband, I was introduced to him and we became instant friends.... 10 years later I married him! :) All it takes is a look and a glance.

When you are zoning out as you call it, ask a trustworthy friend to watch your face expressions, if you're making any, that you may not be concious or aware enough to know you're doing any.
What is your daydreaming like as well, if you're doing it alot, you should be checked medically , as there are medical conditions that can cause a person to zone out.
Hope this is helpfull to you & Good Luck

its clear when you see someone starts zoning out and not paying attention. So it could be that they notice your thinking out into space and are wondering what is going on inside that head of yous. It doesnt mean that they like you just because they are staring at you, but it still could be they might. They only way to find out is to talk to them more, if your interested, if not than ask them why they are staring at you. or start staring back then they will know how it feels. but if you like it , than move in on them, talk to them, flirt with them and see for yourself if they like you.

the reason why they look is probably because they do find you attractive, they are showing you some kind of interest even though they're not smiling they are shy and that is why when you look they look away because they have been caught, pay more attention and smile back maybe they are waiting for your cue that it is alright to start a friendly conversation and want you to make the first move if youre interested....

Perhaps they find your mode of "zoned outness" intriguing and they wonder what the hell you're staring at or thinking of when your eyes gloss over in your trance of reverie. Or, maybe they're zoned out too and you're easy on the eyes.

(teasing sing-song voice) ThEy LiKe YoU!!!

'Cause let's face the facts, these girls wouldn't stare at you if they weren't interested at all!!! Even if they thought you were cute, they wouldn't necessarily smile at you... depends on how shy they are....Trust me, a lot of girls are really bad at concealing!!

So go out and have fun with your newfound hot-factor LOL ;)

well,im not gonna say they like you,but think about it--they stare, when you look, they turn away.i sorta see the obvious, dont you? these girls like you,but they dont want you too see their admiration of you,so they turn away in embarissment or shyness.i used to do the same thing to this guy i liked in the 8th grade.im sure it drove him crazy, too, but i didnt know cause he never showed it.maybe YOU should be the one to smile when you see them.i know you said that whenever you turn to look at them, they just turn their head as if they never looked at you,but im sure if they see the slightest smile before their heads are turned that theyll smile back.good luck.

Maybe they find you alluring and they get lost in your eyes. Why dont you try and giving them a smile or something when you catch them staring.
