ever since i dyed my hair my red in the summer, i've noticed that every time i wash my hair, tons of hair come off and clog up the bathtub. i remember the last time i dyed my hair and around the time i start noticing it, even after a few days of dying my hair, hairdye still comes off (red). now that my hair isn't blondish anymore nor is it reddish since it already faded, i start to notice that my scalp shows more on top of my head and i'm barely 20 (it's not that noticeable, only to me mostly). my family don't have cases of hairloss of any sort nor does my extended family on both sides. can someone help and give me some insights? anyone else have this happened to? thank you! i'm concerned

i don't wash my hair every single day so that can't be it. i also don't have a good sleeping pattern so maybe that could effect (if anybody knows anything?). i'm pretty stressed so could that be it? and if anybody knows if this could be shedding? this is a serious issue to me... so any insights would be helpful because i can't afford to see a doctor just yet

Coloring your hair will result in some hairloss for about a week afterwards. When the color wears off and it is time to recolor, you will lose a lot of hair (mostly near the scalp close to the new hair growth). The best way to avoid the breakage is to get another hair coloring session.

Do not use over the counter hair coloring products, they cause damage to the hair and you will lose more hair. If you wait too long between getting your hair colorings you will have more breakage and hair loss.

No need to worry, you haven't inherited a balding or hairloss condition, it's caused by the damage from the coloring chemicals.

You said it: you're stressed. Hair loss can increase stress greatly in men and women for sure. Stressed people tend to do things too quickly or too slowly. If you can't afford to ask your doctor, talk to a pharmacist before buying any supplements or shampoos. Learn to relax somewhat. And go very easy on your hair if you use a brush or comb. Go messy and avoid the comb/brush altogether if you can. Check your diet. You may be eating/drinking too much of a good or bad thing daily. But learn to relax through exercise or meditation or yoga or better yet a combination of the three. Younger people may laugh at yoga, but it is a profound way to guarantee overall better health. Otherwise hair loss will be the least of your problems.

It really depends how much hair. It is natural to lose some hair when you shower, and chances are that you just started noticing it more when your hair was darker. When I went from blond to brunette, I noticed the same thing. Now I comb through my hair while I have the conditioner in to try to catch the loose hair before it gets to the drain. If you are losing a lot (like handfulls) of hair though, it might be worth seeing a doctor.

I have the same problem. you need to look at the hair, if there is what looks like a white or clear ball at one end then it is your hair falling out at the root if not the it's from hair breakage. Do you wear your hair in ponytails or pulled up in tight updos? If so you may have them too tight and are pulling your hair out.don't brush your hair when it's wet causes it to break Stress also tends to cause hair to fall out. Also if your not eating right the first place it shows it is at your hair and nails.Hair dyes are very drying and reds are the hardest to keep they fade faster than the other colors. John Frieda has a product called Luminous color glaze. it will give your hair lots of shine and will slowly brighten the color of your hair.or use products for colored hair. there are vitamines for hair and nails .

Stress, over treating it, not having enough vitamins and minerals in your diet or a combination of all three may be the cause of it.. It could be a number of things but it your losing large clumps of hair I would see a doctor. Otherwise go online and order a multivitamin called building blocks. You can buy it at GNC but it is way more expensive (like 17 dollars versus 35 dollars). It is used for Gastric Bypass patients but its a good supplement to take.

lack of sleep, stress, poor eating habits, and genetics are the four big causes of natural hair loss. Adding chemicals in the form of color or perms/relaxers may not cause damage but they are never good for your hair. I suggest a deep conditioning treatment for your existing hair & try a kit of Nioxin (cleanser, scalp therapy, and the pump bottle. They also make styling products.) Make sure to get it for Chemically treated hair. Good Luck.

especially if you dont wash your hair every day this will be more noticeable, from what i've heard people loose about 200 strands of hair a day, if you dont wash it every day sometimes it stays tangled up in the hair that stays on your head, and then when you wash it tons of it is in the hair catcher in the bottom of the shower. its totally normal if you have long hair you'll notice it even more, try not to stress and take vitamins every day you'll be fine, im sure no one even notices it but you.

Take your Flintstones and RELAX..... stress will suck the life out of your hair and skin. it will take a concious effort on your part just to simply relax.
