It's the sad fact of human nature. Peopl for somereason have to hate someone/ some race. In today's world people see Africa still as a poverty diesease stricken land, and don't believe they should in anyways associate themselves with it. It's sad, but people are getting better, more and more organization spend more and more money in Africa, more and more people are getting educated to understand eachother as human beings. One day, hopefully people will eventually see eachother as people, the way Martin Luther King wanted the world to see.

Because unfortuantely as a world society we still get uncomfortable around people who are different.
Sadly, it makes some people more comfortable to put others down.
Even if we all looked identical, sounded identical etc we'd find SOMETHING mean to say.
Maybe some countries have come a long way but when it comes down to it, we need to see each other as people, not colors, nations etc. Maybe then there wouldn't be so much hate in the world.
God bless!

I was not aware of this. I agree, that we are all people and deserve respect. I thought that a lot of enlightenment was coming to Americans by fighting for many causes in Africa, such as the AIDS epidemic, help with the mistreatment of people and even assisting the victims of their own civil wars going on. I know everything is not fixed yet, but there seems to be these signs of progress. If you have been mistreated, you certainly have my empathy.

Hey now, it's pretty ignorant of you to paint everybody with such a large brush. I'm from South Africa and have been in the USA 20 years. To my knowledge, no one has had a problem with me because I'm African. They have problems with my driving, sure, but that's because I'm a horrible driver, not because I'm African.
Give people a chance. They just might surprise you.

Um, hon, I have no problem with "Africans" as long as they have no problem with me. I don't assume anything about anyone until they open their mouths or I witness them being foolish, mean spirited or hateful.
I'm sorry if you feel you've been mistreated, I don't know you well enough to make those kinds of calls.

For the same reason people are mean to gays, jews, overweight people....because they are jerks and probably insecure themselves and it makes them feel better in some sick way. This world would be such a better place if this sorta rudness.... no hatered would cease.

You, my dear, are hanging around the wrong type of people. You should surround yourself with people who love all humans. Race, age, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, etc. should not even be a factor.
Now that being said, humans are sadistic and cruel.
I love all humans, but that don't mean they all love me back.
