Taking the F train from manhattan to brooklyn, can i take the F train back from brooklyn to manhattan?

On weekdays, you'll have no problems taking the F back to Manhattan. On weekends, you should check the MTA website to see if they're doing track work on the F.

Weekend subway service between Brooklyn and Manhattan has been dysfunctional and confusing on all lines for a few years now. Last time I took the F on a weekend it was fine, but it's worth double-checking. The 4/5 is basically out of order most weekends, and the N/R is very unreliable.

I don't ride our subway system. Unless there is there is work being done on the "F" line when you return, you should be able to take the "F" back to Manhattan.

When you get to the subway station ask the attendant in the token booth, also ask him for a map.

Yes, All lines run both ways,
Exceptions do exist, like the 7 train that runs an express train Manhattan bound in the AM Rush and Flushing bound in the PM.
