I think about suicide a lot. I don't actually want to kill myself, but I always think about what it would be like, and that maybe it's the best thing for me to do. But I swear I would never actually go through with it. I've tried talking to a psychologist very recently, but she told me last week that I was fine.

I also suffer from severe anxiety and depression.

yep....i have severe anxiety/panic diorder and i need medication to go out or do something unusual. when i first got this i didnt know what to do and i really wanted to kill myself. i talked to a phsyologist but that one didnt help and i started cutting myself. but then after talking to a different councellor and telling everyone what was really going on with me instead of pretending like everythings okay, i was really okay. Now i have a boyfriend, have fun at school and dont feel like dieing anymore. Of course i have ups and downs.

You should try talking to someone close...friends, family or find a different cousellor. Do you take medications? If not a GP can prescribe you with one for you.

Good luck.

It is normal to think about what life after death would be like, and what it would feel like. all normal feelings. As long as you are not thinking of doing it. It is never the best way out. Families and friends are the ones who end up suffering from suicides. I think that everyone has had thoughts of death and what not. If you are suffering from anxiety and depression maybe you should seek the help of a psychiatrist. They can prescribe meds that will help with that. Psychologists cannot prescribe meds. Hope this helps!!

Are you on medication for your severe anxiety and depression?

Psychologists know virtually nothing. A big waste of time, and you proved it because the psychologist said you are fine.

Many people have suicidal thoughts. Perhaps it is normal. Email me if you wish. I will be happy to help out, but I need more information.

Well I'll tell you this, it's not a healthy habit, but it's human instinct to think about one's death and how it would be and how it would affect everyone else....I had severe anxiety and depression and let me tell you I didn't want to live with my panic attacks anymore so I do feel your pain there....But, I learned what got rid of those things and I stuck with it and now for 3 years I haven't had one panic attack and I feel great, I didn't need pills, I didn't need treatment doing it also....I simply started exercising every night for 1 hour to hour and a half, I started eating good and taking care of myself, after a couple of weeks I noticed that I was sleeping great and working out got rid of all that stress and anxiety I was feeling I still do it today and I have never felt bettter, Also I started writing alot and that helps me to focus on what's bothering me and I take what I see and work on it to better myself if you stick to this regimine you will feel better isn't time you took care of this sweetie?

if you want to commit suicide then i would suggest trying it once just to see what it feels like and then you can make you decision if you want to continue with it,

but the problem is that you can't come back

suicide is no funny matter, my best friend's sister commited suicide and it left a huge scar. if you think that nobody loves you of that there is nothing to look foreward to then you have to look under the log and find out that you can continue if you chose to.

if you comit suicide what will you be proving? you'll have lost to all the problems and your life as well. You know what? I love you, and I'm not saying that just because I don't want you to commit suicide, but because i love life and as long as you are still breathing on this planet, then that means i love you too. you are a person, and guess what? so am i, and as people we have an obligation towards eachother.

you can continue.

Sounds like you need to see a psychiatrist instead. Get yourself diagnosed you could have several things wrong. You may need some kind of medication. I am manic-depressive, or bi-polar and was diagnosed about 17 yrs ago, my son also was diagnosed at 17 and he is now 27. I am not saying that is what is wrong but a good psychiatrist will be able to give you some insight as to what is going on with you. Please go....

you said you also suffer from anxiety and depression... you just have a lot of problems so you're thinking that suicide is the best way to end all your problems...try to solve everything you can, ask for help from other people, do something you have passion for and you'll see, you'll be better... you just need kenosis or the emptying of the mind with unnecessary things...good luck!

No, not normal.

Just think about simple things in life that have nothing to do with your problems and that are pleasurable. Then think about this...if you commit suicide, you will have ABSOLUTELY nothing. Is this better than having at least some pleasure out of life among many trials and problems? Something is better than nothing, obviously.

I think you should get a new psychologist because this isn't normal. You are obsessing too much about it instead of thinking about other things.... Do you try to think about other things or maybe try to focus on your job, school, or whatever it is you do everyday?
