If you are looking for a BEATER. Then, sure. But if you don't have any intention of working on the car, or are considering keeping the car for more than 12 to 18 months, than NO, do not buy it.

No.

What was the reasoning for salvage?

dont buy it if it was wrecked,flooded..theft is usually OK.

It depends on the condition of the car, your mechanical ability, and the price. Have the car checked by a qualified mechanic, and be sure that there is not hidden problems!.

If you have plenty of money to redo the whole thing like the series Overhaul or pimp my ride, then yes I would buy the car, otherwise, NO.
