Actually- corn in its raw state is at its sweetest. all you really need to do is heat it up so that the butter melts on it. Try it. take a small nibble (raw) right off the cob- yum yum. I used to pick it right off the stalk and i found that it tastes best that way- so just heat it slightly- if you over cook you are going to destroy all the nutrients that the corn can provide in its natural state. And when you do boil it - as you are pouring all the water down the drain- look at the nutrition go with all the color in the water. hmmm.. and I thought every one knew that.

Don't over-boil it. Bring your pot of water to a boil first, then add your corn. Cover, and boil for 10-20 minutes.

I bring a pot of lightly salted water to boil, then drop in the corn, and turn off the heat. Your corn will be ready when the rest of your meal is prepared and not overcooked!

you can also fill a dish with water and cover it with the corn inside in the microwave for 7 minutes and then let it sit and steam for 5 minutes.
