did they lift the recall of spinach? can we eat spinach now? how abt cooking it?

if not why are there still stores still selling spinach?

Recall is over period. I saw bagged spinach in a supermarket in California today. During the ban they weren't there, but now it's back.

It was lifted two weeks ago, and it was found that the spinach that was contaminated was localized to one brand and one area of shipment lot.


I did find some in the store last week and it was reduced priced and it was seriously scary to buy it so cheap. I really miss it, I used it as the main "green" source in my diet and ate about 2 or more cups a day. I didn't realize "how" much I actually consumed until I did not have it as a choice anymore. Brussel sprouts and Green beans, Okra and celery have been a replacement, yet none are really yummy as the spinach.

yes they have. They narrowed the source down to some California based companies. ALL stores should have pulled fresh spinach from their shelves during the band but it has been lifted now.

YES in Fla , i don't; know about anywhere else but we have fresh spinach in all our stores, but don't forget they took lettuce of the shelves too and now i heard it was premade egg salad....we have to watch now anything we eat for fear of getting sick or even worst dying.

you can buy it at Safeway ,and they are getting it from AZ .and NM. as for California grow spinach i think the ban is still going.
