I have a rash on my toes (not between, mostly just on the tops and bottoms at the ends before the nail) that is red and very dry. it scales and peels, and it itches like all out. I have excema too, but this isn't like any excema I've ever had before. I have tried lotrimin ultra, but it hasn't really helped very much. Any tips? or should i just go to a dermatologist?

Athlete's foot fungus requires humidity to grow, which is why it often
starts between the toes.

Cas, I would try some aloe vera first. That is a herbal remedy. Use from the plant itself. If this doesn't work then yes, I would go to a dermatologist. The itching is what will irritate you. May want to try a hydrocortisone cream for itching and see if that might help too. good luck

Meet athlete's foot your new best friend....get some sort of generic fungus cream, keep trying them until you find one that works. It WILL take awhile.. Apply it according to the instructions...have more than one pair of shoes...never exercise and wear the same shoes two days in a row...let those shoes dry out COMPLETELY before wearing them again...Always have clean White COTTON socks...this stuff is Really contagious...if you wear someone else's socks or shoes they will get it...or if you wear their shoes...

i agree. you should try a cortisone cream, and maybe a powder. if it is athlete's foot, it is happening partly because there is moisture for the bacteria to thrive off of. try gold bond medicated, its pretty good. if it doesnt clear up in a week, you should go see a podiatrist or a dermatoligist

if it is athletes foot and i would treat it like it since it is dry use topical ointments like hydrocortizone cream. zinc oxcide, tinactin, and keep your feet away from moisture as much as possible change your socks and keep powder or cream on you feet if it dont start to clear up see a doc
