My granddaughter is 3 and has lost weight in the last 3 weeks, with fatigue, pain in the legs and pretty much all over. She says she's tired almost all the time. She has abut 2-4 hours a day that she is pretty good, the rest aren't. She doesn't sleep well, doesn't eat and is just fussy and definitely NOT herself.

Any 3 yr. old should not have rapid weight loss and lots of pain especially if it wakes her up at night (which you didn't specify). She needs a complete work up with a good peditrician ASAP.

My son used to sleep all day long and would loose up to 5 pounds in one growth spurt. And I remember my growth spurts as a kid really hurt. I would take her into the doctors especially since shes not wanting to eat and when you're growing you need to.

But I would put my bet on growing pains and the rapid use of the body fat she has on her to grow.

My daughter had pain and we told her it was growing pains, how wrong we were. She had similar symptoms but she also had bruises. We took her to get a blood test after her grandparents said it was a sign of leukaemia. That is eactley what she had. Please get your grand daughter to the doctor for a check and even blood test. She may just have a virus but its better to be safe then wait till it gets worse. I noticed symptoms in my daugter up to 2 months before diagnosis and felt I was over reacting if I took her to the doctor for every little pain or vomit.

He commonly isnt on any medications due to the fact that the one ones i do know of that factors weight reduction is meth and that could have the reverse final result with the narcaleptic signs he appears to be having. I could take him to a health practitioner due to the fact that it would be him now not consuming or any quantity of great stipulations.

see a pediatrician. a growth spurt should not make her this tired and fussy. the fact that she is not herself is what worries me most. if she lost weight (and added inches) but was still her usual bundle of energy, i wouldn't worry. there are a lot of things that could cause this. see a doctor if only to put your mind at ease.

Get her to a pediatrician IMMEDIATELY! Sounds like childhood leukemia to me! Not to assume you DON'T know, but just in case you don't, that's like cancer.God bless you & your precious baby. In my prayers as we speak.
