About 7 years ago when I worked fast food I got my pepsi order and there was this other drink for the one I ordered. I told my delivery guy he brought me the wrong drink, but he told me it was the same stuff just had a different name. Well I can't seem to remember what the old name was and its really bugging me. So if anyone remembers it would really help me to quit thinking about it.

I think you're thinking of either Slice or Storm: Slice was a product Pepsi developed before Sierra Mist. Storm was the product they test marketed when developing Sierra Mist--they changed both the formulation and the name before marketing the final product.

I remember when Sierra Mist came out. It was a new soda. Pepsi didn't have a lemon-lime soda until then. It may be that the waiter though Sierra Mist had replaced Mountain Dew, which is also a Pepsi product.

According to Wikipedia (and my own Slice-drinking childhood), the precursor to Sierra Mist was Slice, but the actual Sierra Mist formula was previously marketed as Storm.

"Slice", a semi-clever acronym of "Sprite"
Sprite has more spring in it's strep, so slice, being a cut, became Sierra Mist,..... more wistful and marketable. Enjoy..... UI lioke the Sprite in You
