Well some people consider it freedom of speech, but just because one person or some people from a particular group say something stupid or crazy that doesn't mean that the entire group as a whole is stupid or crazy.

Most of the white groups are racist, if they aren't then they sure have a funny way of showing it. When people admit that they hate a person for being such and such it appears to others that they are racist. I dislike drug abusers does that make me prejudiced? Well kinda sorta, but there are so many people who dislike this choice.
I am also white. Not necessarily proud of everything, esp with part of my heritage being German.

How do you re-@ss?
I'm sort of white and I suppose I sort of maybe understand what the crap you are saying...like when people fly the confederate flag at KKK rallies. Suddenly the flag of my ancestors and home are equated with these pointed-headed jack-@sses forever. Well here's a clue, my very old southern family never owned a single slave and never lynched, burned or abused anyone. But if I dare fly the confederate flag I am suddenly labeled racist. Am I? I don't hate anyone. I date women with all variations of skin tone because I never bother to think why it would matter. Should I? Why DO people like Jesse Jackson get a pass to say anything they want? I don't have any answers myself except to say that if you truly are without racism you should be able to laugh at, insult, marry, love and hate anyone regardless of cultural background or skin pigment. (my background, by the way, is French/American Indian/German). You may refer to me as AMERICAN and I really don't give a rats-@ss if you hate me or not. That's your problem.

Most of these groups you are speaking of are not racially aware they are hate groups. There is a big difference! I am bi-racial (black and white) and I don't want to hear racism or hate from any group of people. Calm down. Be proud of your race but, don't judge the other ones. I know I'm proud of both of mine!

Alright Summer. I thought that we were getting somewhere. I really hoped that we were. This subject hits me hard, because as you know I have a BLACK husband and a Mixed Son. To me, all of us are ONE race. The HUMAN race. We are born the same, bleed the same, and die the same. Please let us continue to look at each other as people and not GROUPS. Be proud of who we are on the INSIDE, and NOT our skin colors! I love You and I Pray for you everyday!

Its funny that society makes us all believe that it is wrong to be proud to be white, but right to be proud of whatever other race you are.

If you say, for example, "I'm proud to be black" (and you actually are black) then people congratulate you for standing up for yourself and not resisting the white man's evil sway over your self esteem.

White people, more than any other race, are the most afraid to say anything which even relates to race - positive or especially negative.

In fact, there are many uneducated people out there whose definition of racism is a white person discriminating against other races, particularly blacks.

There is nothing wrong with being proud you are white. It's what you do with that pride.

Unfortunately, that are a lot of sick freaks who think it's cool to use pride in their race as a reason to hurt others. Not just whites...it can happen in any race. And it's just as wrong when a caucasian does it as when a black does it, or an asian or whatever.

So, IMHO you have every right to be proud of your race...just let others be proud of theirs.

Why would you be "proud" of a matter of genetics and your external appearance? 1. You had nothing to do with it 2. There are a lot of really reprehensible, disgusting, dishonest and criminal people who have the same color skin - why would you be proud of them just because their skin is the same? 3. I'm white, but I really don't care about being white and I'm sure as hell not "proud" of it!

Don't generalize....that in and of itself is a form of racisim. I agree that the crap from Jesse Jackson's mouth is nothing but racisim, but that occurs in every country and in every nationality. There are good and bad in every race.

There is only one race that I am aware of and that is the "human race", those who can't make the distinction between the human race and skin tone are racists in my book. Having pride about what color you are is a subtle form of racism in itself.
