Kerastase is the BEST!!! You can get it online but its pretty expensive. Worth it though, it works so well! Believe me Ive tried a lot. One trick with whatever you use is put it on then wrap a towel wet with HOT water over your hair and wait 20 min or so then rinse. It penetrates the hair much deeper because it opens the hairs cuticle and lets the product in. then rinse with cold h2o

The best deep conditioner I've ever used (and continue to use) is the stuff that comes with L'Oreal Feria hair color. Even if you don't want to dye your hair, that conditioner is worth the $10 or whatever! You just need a quarter-sized amount at most (that's what I use, and I have hair that almost hits my waist). Warning--it's apparently pretty popular, as I've often found it missing in the boxes of hair color I've picked up. Check the box before you buy! It's a silver tube.

best of the best that i have used is the Biolagie Hydrotherapie Balm. 15 minutes left on after a shampoo is like a miracle. you can buy the smaller size tubes for about 6 bucks, it should last a while.

Warm mayonaise heavily worked in to dry hair, put a perm cap on & leave in for 30 mins, shampoo w/a protein based shampoo (w/NO alcohol in it!), rinse, repeat, and air dry. Your hair will have a shiny, silky look and be detangled all at once. Sounds kinky, I know, but my stylist said it's the cheapest, most effective deep conditioner on the market! or you could go spend 20-40 bucks @ your local salon... ;-)

I really like Aussie Moist Conditioner. They have other conditioning products too but they are sometimes hard to find. Tresseme is good too. The one for chemically treated hair is exceptionally good (even if you don't have chemically treated hair). Hope this helps! (:

Ohhhhh I really really love Apivita's hair mask (it's a greek brand!), it's really effective. Here are some of the other hair masks I love too, the Apivita's information can be found here as well:

Deep conditioner kind of sucks if you have fine/limp hair. Your best bet is to invest in a good OTC conditioner, comb it through in the shower and leave it on till right before you get out.

Deep conditioners with fine/limp hair leave it oily and can make your scalp break out.

Also, you might try using a clarifying shampoo BEFORE you put any conditioner (deep or otherwise) on your hair. That makes it easier for the conditioner to penetrate.

Avoid conditioners with wax/polymers since all they do is coat the hair instead of hydrating it.

Try VO5's "Spa for Your Head" shampoos and conditioners.
