I attended private school. I like the class size (10 - 15 students) which lead to individuality. The teachers truly "knew" you.

Hi! A private high school experience can really vary, depending on whether sectarian or secular, uniforms or no, elitist versus inclusive, etc. My school was secular, reasonable inclusive, but with enough old money around to make my middle class roots uncomfortable. Very good, dedicated teachers who occasional subverted the school's raison d'etre, that we were there to learn how to lead the world.

If you are going to a private high school, treat it like any school. Try to get the best teachers, mentors you can, and don't get to caught up in the personality dramas that will inevitably ensue.

Good luck!

yes, i attended an all girls private school.. If i had to do it all over again, i would not chose public shool. There were no boys so you could concentrate on school, and not the cute boy in your class.. plus, we wore uniforms so u didnt have to have the coolest clothes or decide what to wear the next day or worry about makeup.. !! it was great for me. give it a try, u can always change schools later...

I went to a private Jewish day school. They had both Judaic Studies and Hebrew language as well as the secular classes like Math, English, Social Studies. and Science.

i went to a private high school, and it's nice because you know everyone passing through the halls, as well as your teachers. it's easy to ask questions. but i also didn't like it because it wasn't diverse, and i also kind of like the public school experience as well.

I went to both a Catholic school and a public school. Both had their pros and cons. I definitely felt safer and more like I was in a big, loving family at the Catholic school. I would've rather stayed at the Catholic school.
