I'm stumped - it seems that Apple decided that the older OS ORIGINAL disks won't boot on the newer (barely) imacs. I'm trying to use the original OS9 system restore and OS install disks on a second hand computer that has OSX installed on it and it won't boot the OS9 cd when I hold down the C key on boot or even when I use the command-option-shift-delete command.

Any ideas?

OS 9 is included in OS X, not as emulation but as the read deal. Really no reason to install OS 9 if OS X runs nicely as OS 9 programs can run in OS 9 in OS X...if that makes any sense.
