I have been wanting to cut my hair for a long time now, but was really bothered by what people think of girls with short hair. People at my school assume that it is associated with lesbians. I am afraid that if I cut my hair, people will think I'm gay. Is this true or not?

Oh Dear. Short hair, long hair. Who cares. The biggest thing is to make sure your happy with it. What you should do is. Head to a GOOD Salon. Have them take it say to your shoulders. See how you like it, if you want it shorter, they can still go shorter. You can continue to work your way up until you get to the style and length that you like. Make sure that your honest with your stylist. That your a little unsure of how short, but you know you want it cut. If she's good, she will totally understand. It often helps if you have a picture of what you would like to head to. Your stylist will be able to show you how to style it and how to take care of it. He/She would also be able to tell you if the style you picked would look right with your face shape, and features. I hope this helped, if you need more help, email me.. cosmoinfo2006@yahoo.com or see my group, cosmoinfo2006

Wearing your hair short does not make you a lesbian! It's all on how you carry yourself. Your friends at school and the people that know you, know that you are not a lesbian. And a fact for you to remember is that real true lesbians know one when they see one. When you do cut your hair, if someone ask you, then you just politely tell them no, you are not a lesbian and you are not into girls or same sex relationships. The key is to be confident in your look especially in school, you could have the worst hair cut in school, but if you walk around like your hair is all that no one is going to mess with you. People or young adults feed of your emotion and body language.

Hi girl!
No, it´s not true. My aunt has short hair and she isn´t lesbian. I think the short hair won´t make any woman lesbian, It´s the same with boys that have long hair. There are many girls with long hair and lesbian.
If you feel good with short hair, why not do it? The most important thing is your happiness and don´t worry about things that people say.
I hope I´ve helped you :)
Choose the best for you
Bye bye, have a wonderful weekend.

Hello- NO,my heavens if that was the case, then most women would be gay. Go for a new style, also it is not a bad idea to cut your hair short, so new can grow out. It gets rid of split ends and it does the hair good.

Take Care!

no it is not true! short hair is really in right now! I have short hair and I am married with 3 kids...I am also a hairstylist and many girls are coming in and getting a shorter style. It is definitely easier to take care of and takes half the time to dry and style in the morning. I hope this helps...good luck!

I'm a lesbian, and I know that it's usually the shapeless buzzcuts, or short short cuts that are associated with lesbians. Try getting one of the longer short cuts or layered cuts. Try styling it as well. Another lesbian habit is to use a lot of hairgel, which I don't recommend.

I hope I helped.

Absolutely not. Hair length might be a way for people to show their orientations, but in no way is sexual orientation dependent on hair length. Short or long, you can be heterosexual or homosexual with either.

Let those people think that you are gay, because if you aren't, trust me, you'll know. And who cares if you were? They shouldn't make fun of your either way.

The only lesbians I have met (that I knew were lesbians) had beautiful long hair. The students at your school are misguided.
