I personally don't use All-in-one cloth diapers, but I have a neighbour who does and she does like them. However they do take long to dry, and of course with being an all-in-one diaper you loose out on the two piece properties of an old fashioned cloth diaper with rubber pants pulled on over top of it.

The two pice method being a much better system in my eyes because what ever the diaper can't hold, the rubber pants are there to catch the rest.

But then again it's great to see moms choosing cloth diapers, no matter what type or style, so that in itself is great.

All in Ones are great, but don't work that well on babies until they start to eat solids therefore are done with the runny poop phase. AIOs don't contain waste on newborns and small babies as well as prefolds or fitteds topped with a cover.

Bumkins AIOs are my favorite because they are thin like a disposable and dry quickly. They are good for day time, but for nightime I would look for something a little thicker or with a fleece outer.

As long as you follow recommended washing instructions they will not only hold up until your baby grows out of them but last through another baby or two.

I included a great essay in the sources that is very informative for those new to cloth diapering.

I would have used them but they take forever to dry and drying in a dryer makes them a little less waterproof each time you dry them so you "should" line dry...

I'm not that patient so I did fitted diapers and diapers covers... or even better if pocket diapers cause they are like an AIO but the absorbant part is removeable so drying time is cut wayyyy down. Fuzzibunz are a popular brand of pocket dipes or wonderoos or you could make your own.

I love AIOs!!! I use the Very Baby AIO, both with the snap in contour soaker and with it sewn in. The sewn in AIOs take longer to dry, but I just dry them most of the way and then hang them on the changing table until the next morning. Then they're fine!! I prefer the one with the snap in soaker...AI2 i guess they're called :) They have held up great! I do have a few Bum Genius that are pockets and they are the only ones that have not held up as good...they have faded some. Otherwise...they're all great!!!!!
