Get enough sleep and eat a good, high carb protein beakfast. Eat a snack of carbs right before the race too. Wear your fastest shoes and light, perspiration wicking clothing. I'd wear my headphones and pick a high energy song to play while running. Good Luck!

Then you need to be in bed getting sleep. The body rejuvenates and builds itself up while you are sleeping. Then make sure to have protein in the morning and again before running, if possible and it's going to be late morning. A good health lunch, protein and water to keep hydrated. Something with potassium, like Disani so you don't deplete your electrolytes. Good night!!!

ah well, you should have trained yourself for that...
but anyway..,i would start at about 80% of max power, and go full 100% the last quarter of the mile.
oh ye,and dont forget to warm up,before you run, thats verry important..and mayby you can take some dextro 15 min. before you run, give you some extra energy..when you need it..,it takes about 6 to 8 minutes for the dextro to be absorbed into your blood.
it gives you extra fast sugars for the muscles.

Don't worry bout it. Just start out slow and don't even think about what your doing don't look around or don't listen to anyone and when your done walk it off and just keep walking...I'm one of the slowest ones in my class and I got like 7:08 or something like that...
