There are a few things to consider. First in John 4:24 we see Jesus having a discussion with a Samaritan woman. She is wondering where she should worship God. Jesus replies that "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth." In Luke 24:39, Jesus states, "... a spirit does not have flesh and bones..." There are lots of symbolic anthropomorphisms in the Bible. For instance, it will talk about the "hand of the Lord" or the "strong arm of the Lord" but God the father is "invisible" - Colossians 1:15-16.
Jesus, as shown in Colossians 1:15-16, is the image of the invisible God, the exact representation of his likeness. In John 14:8-9, Phillip says to Jesus, "Show us the father, and it is enough for us." Jesus replies, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
So God the Father is invisible, but God in the person of Jesus appeared in bodily form on Earth. He appeared as a man, but during the transfiguration, he showed himself gloriously to Peter, James, and John in Matthew 17:1-13. A similar radiant description is captured in symbolic form in the early chapters of Revelation as remarked by another poster.
As far as male or female goes, since God does not have a physacal body, he is technically neither, but the Bible uses masculine personal pronouns when describing him.

Because God's appearance is irrelevant.
What is God? The Supreme Ruler of the Universe
Boy or Girl? Neither, God does not have a body in Heaven. His only bodily form was that of Jesus Christ.
A spirit? Exactly! The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!
Oh, and sorry to seem picky, but the book is Revelation, withoutt he 'S'.

the in difficulty-free words reason it doesn't make sense is because you have not spend sufficient time interpreting about the origins of life or in basic terms can't comprehend it and declaring "God did it" is a lot less complicated so that you'll carry close. Btw. this is the "God did it" bunch that declare we come from airborne dirt and mud - get your data instantly. right here's an get mutually of the agency medical foundation of the Bible: > Leviticus 11 : 5-6 > And the coney, because he cheweth the cud , yet divideth no longer > the hoof; he's unclean unto you. > And the hare, because he cheweth the cud , yet divideth no longer > the hoof; he's unclean unto you. Oops! Hares and coneys are literally not ruminants and they do no longer "chew the cud." So, in basic terms because it is an "inspired" e book might want to you've faith it. properly subsequently the muse replaced right into slightly fallacious... and if the e book can't also be acurate on which animals chew the cud or no longer, we've to throw all easy sense to the wind because it tells us that adult males come from airborne dirt and mud and women are produced from ribs. Puh-lease!

The Bible only tells us three things about God:
1. He is immensely powerful, in fact, he is all-powerful. He is so powerful that he cannot be seen directly by mortals, like an incredibly bright light...
2. He is human in his personality and appearance, (or the reverse, since we were made in his image). Yet, his nature is such that he gave specific instructions not to try and figure him out ("My thoughts are not your thoughts. My ways are not your ways").
3. He is caring and compassionate with his creations, although his grand plan can make him seem distant from us.

God is spirit. Spirit is nonphysical.
Only physical things have substance that can give an idea of appearance.
God looks like love.
Love and blessings Don

It doesn't give a description. He is so indescribable and awesome that we could never even comprehend what He looks like even if it told us plainly in the Bible.

God does not have any image. If physical adjectives are ever used for God it is so that humnas will understand.

The way He is seen in heaven is described very differently than the way He is seen on earth (through our veiled eyes)...for of Jesus's earthly appearance it is written through the prophecies of Isaiah, "He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (Isa 53)
But of the way heaven sees Him, the apostle John wrote...12I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man," dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. 16In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. (Rv 1)
