Prepackaged cookie-dough products generally do not pose a threat -- they are manufactured with liquid, pasteurized eggs vs. shelled eggs used in home recipes.

It won't hurt you at all. The eggs in the boxed mixes are dried product and they are the the only thing that could possibly be a problem if the dough was made from scratch. I even feel comfortable eating a little of it if I know the eggs are good and fresh. My daughter used to eat rolls of the dough that you get the the refrigerator case of the grocery store. No problem.

the only way to get sick from prepackaged cookie dough is to eat too much. they don't wanna get sued....so they don't use raw eggs in that cookie dough. Have fun!

It depends on how much you eat at one time. If you eat to much of anything you'll get sick. But, what better to get sick on than cookie dough.......mmmmmmmmmm. Some of the best stuff on earth. Just eat it!

I can only tell you this, my dear, my bother and friends of mine, back in HS must have eaten at least 100 lbs altogether. Not even once did anyone even feel ill in the least.
Not scientific, just what I know.

Anything that contains raw eggs can. It's the chance of salmonella in the eggs that is the problem.

Hey, my family has been eating it for years, and the only thing they get is a belly ache from eating too much of it.
