My mom said it used to be the greatest thing ever...similar to how Microsoft Word is now.

It was a customized DOS system that used Wordstar. For the time, it was easy to use. Back in those days, we didn't have graphics. Everything was typed in and you had to read the options that were available. If you wanted to run a program, you had to type its name. The WANG system used .BAT (batch files) so people could type "1" or "2" or whatever had a .BAT extension and it would do what you needed. Programmers created a MENU.BAT file that was a text menu so people would know what to type to get what they wanted. Also, the rate to communicate was 300 BAUD. We could see the characters being typed out, it was that slow. Don't get me started... I almost started rambling on.

yeah! that's a good one, i used to sell commadore 64 and coleco computers at "child world". we had another computer that was a suitcase made by texas instruments, that was a trip down memory lane!

Oh Yes!!!!! That very old. I used to have it. I think it's circa 1980's. Brings back memories.
