I have never eaten fried chicken with a fork. But, my neighbors do and they eat pizza with a fork. That kind of takes away the pleasure of eating those items. So, what is Gainsville, GA? The chicken capital of the world? It would be interesting to find out why and for how long that has been a law there. But, to answer your question, No, I did not know that it's illegal to eat chicken with a fork in Gainsville, Georgia.

I eat chicken with my teeth anyway.

Who does eat chicken with a fork? That's why my kids loved the legs...they had their own handles! Also, you know you have to lick you fingers to get it all and fried chicken is the best!

Only in Gainesville, GA. And the law was passed just as a publicity stunt. "The 1961 ordinance was put on city books as a sort of public relations stunt to promote Gainesville as the poultry capital of the world, Hooper said."
