your question answers itself.
Actually, apes - including humans - are still evolving.

You ask: "Why are uneducated people ill informed about evolution?" - well the first answer is because they are uneducated.
Secondly, they are ill informed because the message delivered by the media is unclear. As there is no one voice - but many. Add to the confusion all the disinformation (lies) from anti-_____ and people are easily confused.
Many will not believe 2+2=4. There is nothing society can do to these people for not believing facts, or others for not believing others faiths.
Just be at peace. Everything will work itself out in time.
Right?

Ill informed seem to think that evolution happens within their life span or within few a hundred years. They are also taking for granted that what is happening now is just is. For example, look back 50 - 70 years ago and see the physical heights of men and women and compare that to todays measurements. I don't mean to show my age, but I can even remember in basketball alone, being 6 feet was a done deal to play as a center back then.

Uhm........fossil records? What fossil records? You mean the lack thereof? Speak of an uneducated person.......
Evidence #1
There are no transitional links and intermediate forms in either the fossil record or the modern world. Therefore, there is no actual evidence that evolution has occurred either in the past or the present.
Evidence #2
Natural selection (the supposed evolution mechanism, along with mutations) is incapable of advancing an organism to a "higher-order".
Evidence #3
Although evolutionists state that life resulted from non-life, matter resulted from nothing, and humans resulted from animals, each of these is an impossibility of science and the natural world.
Evidence #4
The supposed hominids (creatures in-between ape and human that evolutionists believe used to exist) bones and skull record used by evolutionists often consists of `finds' which are thoroughly unrevealing and inconsistent. They are neither clear nor conclusive even though evolutionists present them as if they were.
Evidence #5
Nine of the twelve popularly supposed hominids are actually extinct apes/ monkeys and not part human at all.
Evidence #6
The final three supposed hominids put forth by evolutionists are actually modern human beings and not part monkey/ ape at all. Therefore, all twelve of the supposed hominids can be explained as being either fully monkey/ ape or fully modern human but not as something in between.
Evidence #7
Natural selection can be seen to have insurmountable social and practical inconsistencies.
Evidence #8
Natural selection has severe logical inconsistencies.
Evidence #9
The rock strata finds (layers of buried fossils) are better explained by a universal flood than by evolution.
Creation: An intelligent deity created everything carefully and lovingly to perfection.
Evolution: Nothing exploded and here we are!

We all love Television's views on things.
Yes, Hollywood is to be commended for always telling faithful, truthful stories and such excellent casting! Chuck Heston as Moses, Jeffrey Hunter as Jesus.
Sciences is pointing more towards a totally independent speices different from Ape.
By the way, what color was the skin of Homo Erectus in the PBS show?
We, out here, would like to know.
There are hundreds of millions of blacks, orientals, Semites, Hispanics, Native Americans, Mayans, Incas and White people who are dying to know what color skin was given to Homo Erectus.
Please tell me Ron Perlman didn't play the role.
I'm so tired of Hollywood Type Casting!
It's important to us for science to explain why blacks can make Chinese babies, why Chinese can't make red headed white girls with green eyes and why white people can't make black babies.
We do ALL have a SINGLE common ancestor, correct?
Or is Nature a segregationist?

UNeducated and ill informed people don't know anything because they don't study and are un-educated.
Educated people and deep thinking people know that God created everything, and that man can interpret what he finds wrongly because his point of view is limited to himself and what he knows. He compares himself with other humans and comes to erroneous conclusions based on mankind.
Man may think or choose to believe that he came from a primate, because God gave him a animal like body, but God specifically made man different and inside of man is a soul and spirit that primates don't have.
It is an error to compare ones self with other humans and leave God out of the equation.

Why are educated people ill informed about evolution?
"Although they claimed to be wise they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles." Romans 1:22-23

Most uneducated are uninformed on may subjects. Why did you pick Berkley of all places, they score very low on general knowledge.
By the way, evolution is still looking for the 'missing link', so it's still only a theory.

the thought of evolution says each little thing greater from a one cellular creature. If this have been real, the fossil checklist might combination jointly by very small differences. There are places have been tens of millions of years of the fossil checklist exist. New creatures look completely greater with out small differences from different species. those species proceed to be extraordinarily much unchanged for tens of millions of years till they disappear from the fossil checklist. New creatures are no longer evolving in the fossil checklist, yet are all of sudden appearing completely greater. we could have hundreds of the comparable pattern fossils, then there will be tens of millions of non-modern-day transitionals, then there might would be hundreads of samples of the subsequent species. A reasonal individual might think of the lacking transitionals on no account existed.

Yawn!!!! And what were primates before they were primates? Every species has to be traced back to the goo. Don't forget the plant life too.
Better question is how can supposed educated people believe the fairy tale of evolution?

why are uneducated people ill-informed? think about that sentence for a second.
p.s. evolution is a theory not a sientifically proven fact. The difference is that changes are being made to theories, and are not made to facts
