It is caused by the blood rushing in our veins. You can touch your face when you blush, it also gives out heat because the blood in our facial veins distributed the heat. Blushing happens when we feel a sudden gush of excitement and suddenly our heart begins to pump out blood and thus it goes to the face. Blushing also happens when we are exposed under the sun. The body will try to bring out as much heat from the body to be able to accomodate the heat coming from the sun. Hope this helps. God bless

Blushing, like flushing is when skin (most often your face) gets red and warm due to an increased amount of blood flow to the small, thin vessels.
Normally you notice blushing or flushing in the face more than anywhere else because the skin on our face is much thinner than other parts of our bodies (especially your cheeks/under your eyes, and the tips of your ears.

Your heart speeds up therefore sending more blood to your face. although scientist are not sure why we blush.
I think it adorable where girls blush. I just don't like to blush myself, for the more part.

nervosity or embarrasment causes your brain to send messages to your heart to send extra blood to your face. its just basic human instinct. no idea why
