The main key to fighting Parvo is getting your pup re-hydrated. Give him Pedialyte every 30 mins or so as long as he can hold it down. If he continues to throw it up, give him smaller amounts more often. Withhold all food for atleast 24 hours. Once he stops vomiting, offer him a handful of cooked rice. If he eats this and doesn't vomit, wait about 30 mins and add some boiled chicken to the rice and feed a little more than a handful (also continue the Pedialyte). Once the vomiting has totally stopped and he can eat, feed him the chicken/rice mixture w/ a little bit of his puppy food in it. Continue to add more puppy food over the next few days until he is totally back on his puppy food. Once this happens, Congratulations he no longer will have Parvo!. If you did have the money for the vet, he would also get put on some meds to help battle this.
Good luck and I hope your pup gets better!!!

Please dont pay any attention to the people on here that are telling you that you are not a good pet owner if you dont take your dog to the vet,,, yes it would be good if you could get him to the vet but there is times that people just dont have the money its not like money grows on trees This is a very horriable virus and a horriable death,,, I had a 2 pitbull puppys that got parvo and she was fine one day and almost dead by the next morning... Here is what the vet told me to do with one of the puppies that i didnt have the money to take her to the vet, give her pidyalite sorry dont spell very good, give her an eye dropper full of that every hour and dont give her any food for the next 24 hours or untill the vomiting stops.. then you can start him back on what they call a BRAT diet which is bananas, rice. apple sauce and toast but only give this in small portions to see if he will keep it down and if he does then increase and if not then go back off solids and start all over agian I really hope this helps and keep me posted how your puppy did you can email me at hunterdog_34@yahoo.com

Sadly, Parvo is a very serious disease and even tho vaccinated, puppies can still get it. Mine did. There are no home remedies to help you here. The vet is the only one who will be able to save your puppy. Beg and borrow your way to affording it, tho honestly, if it's been more than a day or two, it may already be too late. Many Parvo infected dogs die if it's progressed to far beyond help.

You gotta work out a payment plan with a vet right now. Most vets will not let a dog/pup suffer with parvo because the owner dont have money. My 5 month old German shepard/wolf pup died from parvo.Had a appointment set for Satuday to take it for its shots and it got sick on a Tuesday and died 2 days later.Died 2 days before its appointment to get its shots.I had money for the vet but I had no ride to the vet.My friends and none of my neighsbors would give me a ride to the vet.So I had to watch mine die.Really there is nothing you can do.Parvo will kill in 48 hours in most cases. In severe cases the dog will get bloody runs.If I remeber right the blood is from a bacterial setting in the intestine from the parvo virus. The dog has to be treated with IV with fluids and antibiotics.Your dog will die if you get no help.Start calling emergency vets right this minute and ask will they see him and bill you later.Or if you have $20.00 offer them that and ask to be billed the remaining. You also have to remember that not only is parvo airborn but the virus can live on floors and outside surfices for months of the tempature is warm enough. If you get a dog vaccinated against parvo that dog has no protection from parvo for 10 days after the vaccination. And as we all know(well most of us know except a few people answering your question) a dog who is vaccinated against parvo still can get parvo.

Lots of Fluids if they wont drink than get a dropper that you would give a baby medicine out of than give them water that way ad my sister in law has a dog that got parvo when he was a pup and she took him to the vet and told them she didn't have the money to leave him there so he gave the medicine and the syringes and told her to give him shots by herself maybe you could call a vet and see what they say but that's what helped her dog get over parvo

It is really expensive to treat parvo, and even then recovery is doubtful.
The only thing I know is to keep feeding him Pedialyte or a similar drink with electrolytes to keep him hydrated.
I wish you well.
The parvo will stay in the environment, so if you get another dog, have it vaccinated before it comes to your house. And talk to a vet first, about precautions.
I am very sorry about Diablo, and now this; it is heartbreaking.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Who gave the dog the shot?Take the dog back there for fluids. They probably used the live vaccine instead of the killed one.Tell them that you want proof that it was the killed vaccine.Ask them to give the dogs fluids under the skin. Now listen up,,Iv had dogs that have beat this & some that havent. What you must do is watchd this dog 24/7 around the clock,,but he must get rest too.If you can see him thru the next few days ,,he has a chance. When he getstoo stiff looking,,you have to get him "with it".It doesnt mean that he has to get up.Parvo is an airborn virus ,,air out the house but keep the dog warm but not too warm.Use bleach around your home & on odgs bedding.Make him comfortable. And>>>>Get him Pedialyte or a generic brand sold in the baby section of the grocery store.Do not get fruity flavor. This works wonders for the dog,,be sure he drinks a full one every day at least.Keep him drinking. They also sell pee padding that makes things easier while he is off his feet.Ole Roy has them cheap ,,I bought them at Wal-mart.Ok so,,most off all~Pedialyte,,keep him "with it."~rest & ask your vet if he can have fluids under the skin but you want to take him home so that you can watch him closely.Good Luck.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing you can do. And you can't get any more dogs until you treat your ground with clorax. Refer to a vet about this.. I lost a whole litter of Rotts with the same thing. I was told it is a puppy diease and that a dog over 2 could not catch it. I did at the time have several other grown dogs and they did not get sick. Sorry for your loss.

Unfortunately there's not a lot you can do, except take the pup to a vet NOW. You can't feed or offer water or pedialyte right now as he will either vomit or have diarrhea almost immediately, which will further dehydrate him. He needs veterinary care, IV fluids and meds right now.
Once again - if you cant afford to correctly vaccinate and keep a pet, you have no right to cause unecessary pain and suffering to an innocent animal like you have been doing. Maybe you can arrange with the vet to make payments for the treatment...
Please love the dog enough to do the right thing.

You really ought to find a way to take him to the vet because without medicine i am sorry to say that he will die. You should be able to work out a payment plan with a vet to get him the proper care. If you do not sterilize the area where the dogs have been it will continue to KILL. Good Luck
