You could use a facial scrub which will diminish scarring over time or a more drastic approach would be to go for microdermabrasion. A technique performed by specialists that basically sandblasts your skin smooth over several treatments. It can be costly though depending on how bad the scarring is.
Of course a more immediate solution is make up as well....

What i am doing now is to use Apple Cider Vinegar.
Mix it with water in a 50:50 ratio.
Put it in the fridge so that it is cold.
Take it out and use a cotton wool to dab on your face and body (if needed)
Let it dry, it stings, I know.
Then do your usual.
Hope it helps! =)
I have seen result in 2 weeks.

If it is red, you can use visine. If it is dark like a scar you can use lemon juice. Time is the best thing.
