Money is promissory note for some metal that we do not have. We use it for goods and services and boy am I glad. I have done some hunting and I really like being able to go to the store for food. I hate gutting critters. Also it makes it real nice to have electricity and heat and stuff. I think money is a great thing. I don't need to much of it though. When I get greedy it seems I can never get enough. When I sit back and look at how blessed I am I seem to have to much. Its a funny thing this money.
May GOD richly bless you

Do you remember the Beatles' song? "The best things in life are free, but you can give 'em to the birds and bees. Now gimme money, money...." Not very philosophical but clearly points out man's greed.
In modern societies, it is necessary to live decently and to supply our basic needs. Extra money can get us certain pleasures in life and the more you have, the more material things you can obtain. Thus, you get trapped in the consumist frenzy.
Most of us mortals have to work hard in order to get the money to pay for our food, housing, clothing, bills, education, transportation and a large list of family expenses. We dream of getting easy money to boost our economies; some people get extra jobs for extra cash, others buy lottery tickets, some even steal and/or kill for that easy income. It has divided modern mankind into two: hard-working, law-biding citizens and low-life, cheating social leeches. As you can see, it is the cause of many of our social problems. Those who are unemployed and are not willing to joing the second group must get on social welfare.
Can money be eliminated? I mean eliminated not replaced by plastic cards or subcutaneaous microchips. Can mankind go back to the original trade system? That is mere exchage of goods with no gold value backup in Fort Knox. Hard to digest, huh? Think.

Having money and using it wisely is a big responsibility and should not be taken lightly. While it provides security and peace of mind in many cases, it can be a great source of worry too. Knowing that so many people are counting on you to make good decisions can lead to many sleepless nights.

For me money is a necessary evil. You cannot run a household without it. Yet you can have more money than brains and that can prove to be dangerous. Look at most of Hollywood. They have fame, fortune, Money to literally burn yet most of them are really not happy. They become a slave to it and have to constantly wonder if someone likes them for their money or for their personality. I would not want to have to live that way. As long as I have enough to make ends meet and to give my family some of its wants in between all of its needs then I am content.

To much i am afraid. I have been trying to make it so that it isn't so important in my life but, well, the bills need to be paid and food needs to be put on the table. Perhaps someday this will change but for now i try to balance my faith in God with my need to earn a living. Sometimes its hard though.

Money is a only a unit of standard valuation useful in trade, the transport of wealth, and in creating illusions of stature and security. That is my 2 cents worth anyway.

Money dont mean a whole lot to me. I have been on both ends of the economical ladder and money did not buy my happiness, I think it is nice to be comfortable financially but it is too easy to find yoursself a slave to the things you have working to pay for all that crap and for what? you never have time to enjoy them or lif but at the same time slaving to make ends meet is not fun either. so to me money dont mean too much.

It's necessary to pay my rent, buy food, etc. I probably like the things I can buy with it (vacations, nice clothes, etc.) more than I should, considering I'm a Christian. And that is an honest answer!
