I think so...

you've called yourself the party of morals for years... then you wonder why everyone is mad or mocking you about Foley?

you say you won't change the corse no matter what for years... then you're confused when people mock you when you do change?

if you say something for years and make a big deal out of it (like you did morals and staying the course) and then just change whenever it suits you... everyone is going to make fun of you for it...

it's one thing to change your mind.. it's something totally different when you say you won't for years and then do it...

Only an idiot would try to hold an entire party and it's supporters responsible for Foley - you can take that however you want to take it - and thinking over a change in strategy if something isn't working is prudent. No matter what the President does, be it good or bad, the liberal bomb throwers are going to bash him for it. Your hatred is so transparent. Why are the libs so intolerant? I thought the Dems were the party of tolerance - I'm just not seein' it. You all need to have some more kumbaya love fests - this just ain't workin' for you. Have a nice day!

OK g, this whole thing can be summed with three words, Bush can't talk. He has got to be the worst speaking President ever, or at least from the ones I've actually heard speak. (who knows what Polk or Van Buren sounded when they opened their mouths) Just because the guy can't talk, doesn't mean he is not thinking clearly.

There is an obvious disconnect happening between his brain and his vocal chords. I honestly believe he did not mean to say that he had never been "stay the course." He meant to say that he was never "stay the course" the way it is defined by the left; stay in Iraq and do what we are doing. His idea of "stay the course" has always been the same; stay in Iraq and win doing whatever it takes to accomplish that goal. "Stay the course" is winning in Iraq.

It really is a shame that the guy cannot talk better. The way people in this country make everything about first impressions, George W. was screwed from the get go. He makes it worse every time he talks without a script. He is not a dumb guy by any stretch of the imagination, but I've heard middle school kids get their points across with more style.

Busted!
That's why they are scrambling all over the country, to save their seats. They send the ones who they think are the most widely respected by the majority.
Bush will be looking at a very different, not-so-friendly Congress after November 7th.
Quack, Quack, does anyone remember the term Lame Duck. Instead of quail hunting, maybe Cheney, and Bush will go DUCK hunting soon! LOL.
Good question.

Ted Kennedy killed a woman and another Mass. representative had an aid run a prostitution ring from his office. Ted is still working and the other guy retired in office. Foley resigned. At least the Republicans make their pervs leave office. I wish the Democrats had the courtesy to do the same. FYI if Foley touched any of those kids I hope he goes to jail.......like Ted should have.

Republicans are pissed about the Dopey Democrats busting on them about Foley for two reasons;

First, Floey was caught out and forced to resign unlike Democrats who have done a whole lot worse. I suppose that sort of behavior is expected of Democrats.

Second, the bigmouth Democrats who are busting on them about it are the same idiots who stood firmly for Gerry Studds who was doing a whole lot more than sending explicit e-mails, he was having homosexual sex with a 16-year old page. They kept him in Congress and stood up for him. He's a big hero to you Democrats, just like Fat Teddy, Gary Condit Patrick Kennedy, William Johnson, Dirty Harry Reid and a whole lot of other Democrat crooks.

Just what change are you babbling on about? I really don't see where anything has changed, especially your disengeniousness. Stick a sock in it.

Remember that at this point people in the Republican camp, or following it, are believers.

They have left reason far behind and are going ahead on faith focused on personalities they have elevated to a deified level, idolatry in our time.

When things devolve to finger pointing and name-calling however, reason doesn't have a chance to re-enter the debate.

Too bad that the finger pointing nam-calling started prior to the most serious failures were made public, besides reflecting advanced knowledge, it indicates a lack of any excuses. Sort of like the Bible tells us, "The guilty man flees even though no one pursues.

If generalized, these comments apply to almost every politician. Politicians say what they think you want to hear and then do what they want. It deosn't matter if you're Democratic, Republician, Independent, etc. It doesn't really matter because it will never change. Might as well accept it unless you plan to run for President.

Ultimately people don't care if you change.

People care WHY you change. And present it with strength. A touch of brevity. Sincerity, a touch of clarity. You are not allowed to languish it.

Change - that appears blind or confused is weak. Single-mindedness that appears blind or confused is weak.
