Not sure if this sounds like a torn rotator cuff but every so often my should blade on the right hand side will hurt for a couple mins to a few hours, it doesn't happen everyday but when I work alot or ringing alot on the cash register, or if I sit on the computer or clean my room, not shooting pains down my arms or sides, but if I bend down to touch my toes, it makes a clicking popping sound, any ideas?

sounds like a pinched nerve. rotator cuff hurts really, really bad so this is probably a pinch, probably need physical therapy and maybe surgery to fix it. Good luck

I've never had a torn rotator cuff, but my husband has. A torn rotator cuff is much more acute, i.e. the pain is sudden and intense, not chronic like you are describing. Your problem sounds more like a repetetive stress injury of some kind. Or possibly spine compression in your upper back. Check with your doctor or chiropractor.

Have someone raise your arm at your side(spreadeagle). Then ask him to let go. If you can't keep your arm up due to pain in your shoulder, then you have a torn rotator cuff. Try it. However, what you described doesn't seem to indicate torn rotator cuff. Why not see an orthopedic surgeon or sports medicine specialist?

A friend of mine did once. What u need to do is first put a heating pad on ya shoulder as to relieve the muscle of any pain. Do this for about 2-3 hrs. alternating from front to back of the muscle each time the heating pad loses its general effect. Afterwards u will need to ice ur shoulder down in the same manner for the same period of time. Take a Motrin or something rather potent for ya pain as needed. Lemme kno whas up aftawards, u may need some serious physical therapy.

I suggest you go to the chiropractor. I popped my rotator out almost two years ago when I was in wrestling, and it still hurts everyday!
So, take care of this before it gets worse. Maybe its just a pinched nerve? or maybe somethin is just a little off, or out of alignment.

i doubt its a rotator cuff problem...and i doubt it's really a dislocation, you would know if it was dislocated... sounds like it could just be the way your muscles are working together... If it bothers you go to the dr and ask for some therapy...they'll know how to re-train your muscles to work correctly...
