Someone that inspires me as a Christian is my pastor. I don't think he ever takes a personal day- he does all these things for our church and community and never tells anyone about it. I'll always hear someone talking about 'I saw the pastor doing this or that'- it just amazes me how much of himself he gives to helping others and never wants credit for it. He's embarassed if someone tries to call attention to something he's done. No matter what he's doing, he'll drop everything if you need him. He made a 2 1/2 hour trip to see my mom when she was sick in the hospital- he came to the hospital at 10:00 at night when I was in labor w/ my daughter. He refused to let my husband and I pay him for performing our marriage. He's always got time to talk to you if you need him. He's just always willing to go above and beyond. Also, my mom inspires me. She's so self-less. She's always there for me- and she has the patience of Job. I know she's not perfect, but the way she lives her life is more Christlike than I could probably ever live.

One of the popular persons that I admire is a local pastor, Dr. Ed Young. I admire him because since he decided to be in the ministry some 60 years ago he has lived accordingly and his family and his success further proves the Bible's truths, that if you follow it, it will make you successful in all that you do.
I also admire his style of preaching. Though he has never once taught it as a sermon, his method of preaching has shown me how to spot a false teaching. Unlike some preachers, who pick one verse here and another unrelated verse there in order to make a point, Dr. Young takes one parable, one story, one whole chapter, and expounds on it. He provides the background, the history etc., then relates it to our everyday life. I always walk away from his sermons feeling like I know more about the Bible in all aspects.
I also like how he makes it personal; he always includes himself when making a point ... he'll say something like "when you and when I don't take the gift of God's love and...". He readily admits his faults, regularly praises his wife, and his sons and grandchildren are proof of his wisdom.
Sorry it was so long lol

Thomas Jefferson. I was reading a biography about the founders and discovered he, and many other founders, were Deist. It was what I have always believed, but I didn't know it had a formal name until reading that book. I've always admired Jefferson, so of course I was pleased we thought alike regarding religion.

Interesting question! I would probably have to say Paula White...just because, she rocks! :)
(Of course, Jesus is the "author and perfector" of my faith, and there is really no one that comes close to Him...everyone else is just a dim reflection of God's glory in comparison).
So who is yours?
