A few weeks ago, the guy I've been interested in got my phone number from where I used to work. I thought I saw a few signs that he might be interested in me as well, so I told them it was ok to give the number to him. Time went by, he didn't call. I finally managed to get a message to him online. He replied, said he'd try to call over the weekend, and said I could email him back. I also sent him my cell # and email address. He still didn't call, and all I've done since is send him a couple more short messages, nothing serious, and he reads them but doesn't reply. He is a pretty busy man, but I think he could find a few minutes somewhere in the day. Is it possible I could be scaring him away? Should I back off and not try to contact him for a while? He's a great guy and I don't want to mess this up. I'm just looking for honest opinions here. I can't understand why he'd ask for my number if he didn't plan to ever call me. Any ideas?

My idea is to ignore him. If he contacts you again without an explanation about his behavior, either ignore him or ask why he didn't call when he said he would. That was a commitment that he broke and should be taken seriously. Pretty much, it looks like he's not the one for you.

players only love you when they are playing, he is just not that into you, stop being so despirate, you are giving the wrong message, if you keep this up and he does contact you he knows you are weak and despirate and he will get what he wants and be done, so this part is a later addition, i just looked at your past questions, and you have been on this for this for two weeks, stop doing this to yourself and move on

you've done your part,the rest is up to him,maybe if you kinda lay low for a while he will call you or message you,and remember people are funny by nature,he may have a family or job related crisis to deal with as well.

Maybe he has some special affection to you but hasn't decided to call you.
i don't believe that any busy man has no time to think about his love life.
