Science proved the world wide flood never happened (all the civilizations lived through that time), an ark that small couldn't fit those animals (measurements in the bible),no metal for supports back then so the ark would have broken up and sunk, that much water in that short of time would cause Noah's family to drown breathing the air, let alone the pressure would cause their lungs to burst, at landing the plant eaters would die waiting for the plants to regrow, meat eaters would eat the plant eaters to extinction, on and on...

Because if they think for even a second they believe they'll go to hell so to be Christian you must be wantingly ignorant.

As for using faith? Sorry I can not turn my brain off to that degree and I can not unlearn all that I have of reality! Perhaps if a major car accident liquidized my frontal lobes then religion "may" have a chance with me.

Other then that it is Your self delusion Vs reality, and I'm afraid reality will win, after all, it doesn't go away when you stop believing in it.

Au contraire, fair maiden.
a) Other civilizations have the flood stories w/ - guess what, just 8 survivors.
b) While you provide an interesting litany of objections, science has proven none of them. In point of fact, you and science and I as a rational being can prove things true, but false, as non-existent or wrong, cannot be proven.
c) For the record, meat eaters did not exist, Biblically, until after the flood.
d) We do not know which animals existed then.
e) You presume the water came down en masse to drown N et alia.
f) The pressure would only exist under the water or w/in a closed system - neither them being the case.
g) I believe you will find the timing at the end of the flood quite conducive to plants growing. My lawn has certainly grown far faster.
You provide a nice list though. Use that same intellect on Pascal's Wager.

If there wasn't a flood, then why do the Chinese and many American Indian tribes tell a similar story? And some Engineers and scientists have analyzed the ark and suggested that it is plausible that such a boat could have floated.

Most people believe the story based on faith. Science, which is made by humans, is fallible. But God is not. Scientists contradict each other and change their opinions from time to time, as well they should since humans don't know everything, but if God said that it happened, then people of faith will take God's word for it since God was there & saw it, and you & I were not.

...The serious and objective student of this topic would definitely find it worthwhile purchasing John Woodmorappe’s book "Noah’s Ark: A Feasibility Study", which answers most of the other objections. Isaak has supposedly “updated” his article to give the impression that he has responded to Woodmorappe. But it’s interesting to compare the two, and see that Isaak has hardly read Woodmorappe, who had more scholarship on each page than Isaak had in his whole article.

In other treatment of the scientific arguments, my article How did all the animals fit on Noah’s Ark? in Creation 19(2) answers a number of his points, e.g. on the number of animals; definition of a “kind”; why “creeping thing” (remes) means reptile, not invertebrate; feeding the animals and disposing of their waste; and disease germs. The Creation Ex Nihilo Technical Journal article Diseases on the Ark: Answering the Critics covers the last point in much detail. Many plants, marine creatures and invertebrates could have survived outside the Ark....

Hmmm.. do you think science has proven evolution too?

Science has proven no such thing. I don't know when the flood happened, just that it did.. by faith..

God kept the animals from eating each other on the Ark so why not after they got off?

Hmmm.. do you think a little water would kill seaweed? or many other water plants?... or do you think it killed fish? ...

Hmmm.. pressure causing lungs to burst? where did the pressure come from? I've been outside in many heavy rains and my lungs are still functional...

Perhaps the runts of the species were carried.. I don't know.. we will find out when we get resurrected.

interesting comments, but one problem....there is not any PROOF that the story of Noah is false.

take for instance the desert. we find many, many aquatic fossils where there has been no water for thousands of years. yet the fossils are proof that water WAS there at one time. carbon dating puts the fossil record at approximately the same period as the story of Noah.

ever heard of wooden beams? they make great supports for interiors and exteriors such as mansions.

next, although the water rose, the air pressure did not do so significantly since the excess pressure would have simply been pushed beyond our atmosphere.

as for the animals eating, remember that we are dealing with God here. that means that He can feed them or cause them to not require food and yet remain healthy....remember the fishes and the loaves?

lastly, simply because the ark has not been found does not mean that it did not exist. think about the wood in the ark: the trees and other wood would be saturated and not good for building. the wood from the ark would make excellent building material and even firewood if they needed it.

and as a scientist, i have to always think that: hmmmm? i wonder if God used the ark as a repository (storage vault) for genetic material of the animals and simply cloned them when He allowed the waters to recede.

The scientists were not alive at the time of Noah. So they absolutely DO NOT KNOW the conditions of the atmosphere nor landscape of the earth at that time. They can only guess.

The story of Noah is not a fable. God said it happened so it happened. All of the scientists in the world cannot compete with God when it comes to knowledge, wisdom, or historical record.

One day, all false claims will be proven false by the Almighty God who not only created the earth, but who also made the very human beings who fight so hard against him.

Science once time claimed the earth was flat. But Cristobol Colombo believed God's Word that it was round and was hung on nothing. He sailed in faith believing this. And you see what we know now.

The story of Noah is not a fable and science has in no way proven that it is. There is no way that science can prove untrue something that is true. The flood happened. Believe it!!!

"Science proved the world wide flood never happened"...?

What are you talking about? Science discovers things every day. Older theories are replaced with new ones.

You can't tell me that Science is not dynamic. Science, just like the school curriculum, constantly adapts as new discoveries are made...

So, I would not jump to this conclusion just yet. There are many unknowns in this world, and in the universe, that will appear when they have been commanded to, sooner or later...

Actually, most of them believe that in Noah's day, there were no meat-eaters. They say those came around after the flood. I'm not too sure how they explain some of the dinosaurs, however.

Science has proved no such thing. It's hear say ...when you are dealing with the Lord..a tin can will hold up to all the animals and a flood. Science also says we evolved from apes..then why aren't apes still evolving??
