There is nothing wrong with it. I'd try to get him to ask you our first, but for very shy guys it may be the best option.

I am a fully grown man, I have a job, I dont live with my parents, I am good looking, educated and ambitious. I tend to be the life of the party when I go places. All that being said, I would rather lose an arm than ask a girl out because that is the one area where I am extremely shy.
Guys always like being asked out by a girl. In perhaps 90% of cases, you will get a yes. Women are more likely to get a yes than guys are. The key is not to come on too strong.
In conclusion, I LOVE it when girls ask me out.

It's not wrong (not nowadays), but some guys aren't comfortable with being the "hunted" rather than the "hunter." If you believe that the guy you have in mind -- and there is one, or you wouldn't be asking this -- would take it well, then go for it.

you can ask him, however, you should be aware that he may only say "yes" because he was so flattered that someone asked him out. he may not have had the chance to decide whether he really likes you, or just really likes that you asked. if he asks you out then there is no question that he is interested in you.

y not? girls can ask guys out, a girl can do anything a guy can do, this isn't the 1970'swomen aren't just house wives anymore, they're free, ask him out, mabey he's afraid of u.

He wouldn't care if he is interested in you. He would be jumpin up and down if u asked him out first. If you don't want to ask him out, be casual and hint that you want to hang out out with him. For example, "Oh, I really want to see that movie 'grudge 2'!"

I did and he said he wasn't ready. He also said he would ask me when he felt ready. You can try.
